Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has responded to allegations that he cheated on wife Behati Prinsloo – allegations he denies.

Levine, 43, was accused of having a year-long affair with Instagram model Sumner Stroh in a TikTok video she posted earlier this week.

Stroh shared text messages she claimed were written by Levine, including one from June 2022, and said that after they'd split, the singer had asked her if she'd mind if he named his daughter 'Sumner'. The model says she came forward with the affair allegations because one of the people she shared the text messages with was planning to sell them to the tabloids.

In response to Stroh's TikToks, Levine released a statement on his Instagram Story: 'A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air. I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair; nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life.

'In certain instances it became inappropriate. My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again.'

Levine married the 34-year-old Victoria's Secret model in 2014 with family friend Jonah Hill officiating the ceremony.

The couple have two daughters – Dusty Rose, born in September 2016, and Gio Grace, born in February 2018.
