Celebrity style: Lady Gaga brings back the Little Black Dress

The list of times Lady Gaga has pushed sartorial boundaries is almost endless... 2010's meat dress, anyone?

However, while stepping out and about in New York City recently, the superstar has been rocking a series of stylish black dresses - albeit each completed with a signature Gaga twist.

While heading to rehearsals for her upcoming shows with Cheek to Cheek collaborator Tony Bennett at the Radio City Music Hall on Monday, the singer turned heads in a Magda Butrym body-con dress that she matched with Pleaser's Infinity 1020 boots.

Priced at $112 (£80), the platform shoes feature a vertiginous nine-inch heel, and are definitely not for the faint-hearted.

To top off her fun look, Gaga opted for a Mark Cross box-shaped purse and black Dita sunglasses.

And the day prior, the Shallow hitmaker turned up the glamour by donning a black velvet Alessandra Rich dress with gold chain detailing and buttons, as well as a matching belt.

To finish the chic ensemble, Gaga wore black pointed Manolo Blahnik pumps, gold and pearl Agmes earrings, and had her hair swept back into an elegant chignon.

Meanwhile, Gaga continued her streak of wearing only black outfits on Wednesday, when she made a statement in a black bodysuit, silver Fogal tights, a Deborah Drattell suede belt, and her favourite Pleaser boots. She also later dazzled in a black dress from Lanvin’s fall/winter 2021 collection, which she matched with Marc Jacobs’ new Icon sunglasses.
