Courteney Cox has admitted she "messed up a lot" by getting fillers when she was "really young".

The 58-year-old actor told the beauty podcast Gloss Angeles in March 2023 that her biggest regret was “just doing too many fillers" and she had to have them removed. Cox revealed how her attitudes have now changed, saying, "thinking that I was getting older when I was really young, that’s just a bummer, a waste of time", before adding she is now as "natural" as she can be and looks more "like myself".

The star has previously discussed the pressure she felt in Hollywood to look young. Her quest led to her to use injections or fillers, which she has now had dissolved, embracing her natural beauty instead. In an interview with The Sunday Times Style in February 2022, Cox spoke about the tweaks she used to get, the reaction from those close to her, and the concerns she has for her daughter.

Speaking of the period when she was filming Friends, she said, "There was a time when you go, 'Oh, I'm changing. I'm looking older.' And I tried to chase that [youthfulness] for years. And I didn't realise that, oh shit, I'm actually looking really strange with injections and doing stuff to my face that I would never do now." She also described what made her decide to ditch all treatments. "People would talk about me, I think... there was a period where I went, 'I've got to stop. That's just crazy.'" (Getty Images)

In September 2021, Linda Evangelista claimed that she'd been the victim of botched cosmetic surgery a few years earlier, undergoing a procedure aimed at decreasing fat cells.

In February 2022, after hiding away for almost five years, she shared the first photos of her body since the ordeal with People magazine, and opened up about the traumatic experience that left her "brutally disfigured."

Posting on Instagram, the 56-year-old Canadian supermodel wrote, "I'm not done telling my story, and I will continue sharing my experience to rid myself of shame, learn to love myself again and hopefully help others in the process."

Speaking to People magazine about her ongoing recovery, she added, "Why do we feel the need to do these things [to our bodies]? I always knew I would age. And I know that there are things a body goes through. But I just didn't think I would look like this.

Ex-Love Island star, social-media influencer and Pretty Little Thing creative director Molly-Mae Hague has previously spoken out about the undoing of her cosmetic procedures.

The 22-year-old began having her lips done at 17, also having filler and getting veneers – but has now reversed it all, with the aim to return to a more natural look.

She said on Steven Bartlett's podcast The Diary of a CEO in December 2021, "I wouldn’t say I got addicted to it, but by the age of 21, I didn’t look like the same person.

"I literally looked like a different person. When I look back at pictures now, I’m terrified of myself. I’m like, 'Who was that girl?' I don’t know what happened.

"But there was this one pivotal moment where I’d gone and got loads of filler and I posted a YouTube video... I hadn’t let the filler settle and it was really swollen and a screenshot from that video trended on Twitter for weeks.

Victoria Beckham revealed her own thoughts on her cosmetic surgery in 2017, opening up about her regrets with breast surgery.

In a letter she wrote for her 18-year-old self, published in British Vogue, she said, "I should probably say, don't mess with your boobs.

"All those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you've got."

Chrissy Teigen has gone through a similar journey to Victoria Beckham, announcing in May 2020 that, despite them being 'great' to her for many years, she was undergoing surgery to have her breast implants removed.

She wrote, "I’m getting my boobs out! They’ve been great to me for many years but I’m just over it. I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort! No biggie! So don’t worry about me! All good. I’ll still have boobs, they’ll just be pure fat. Which is all a tit is in the first place. A dumb, miraculous bag of fat."

But she later revealed she discovered she was pregnant after the surgery. Responding to speculation on Twitter, Teigen explained what had happened, opening with, "Oh, it’s quite a story. Lol.”

Leslie Ash has spoken out about her lip enhancements before with the hope that it can help young women to educate themselves more when considering cosmetic treatments.

The Men Behaving Badly star returned to our screens in 2021 on BBC's Doctors, while she also gave a warning to the world following her botched procedure 20 years earlier.

Ash told The Sun, "The only thing I'd say to people is: Do your homework."

Speaking about her lip fillers, she previously said at the time: "This man-made plastic silicone has been injected into me, gone into the muscles around my mouth and become hard. I had steroid injections which helped soften it a bit but it won't ever go away."

Katie price, previously known as Jordan, has had multiple cosmetic surgery procedures and treatments over the years, starting with breast enlargements at 18, followed by many more surgeries, botox and liposuction.

While she admitted in 2019 that she thought she looked like a "Space Invador" after undergoing a series of procedures, she also said she didn't look as "horrific" as she used to in her younger years.

The now 43-year-old told Good Morning Britain at the time that she'd had liposuction from her knees to her waist, as well as having her own fat put into her bottom and procedures to her face.

“My face, I look like a Space Invader at the moment because it’s still really swollen. I do look a bit different," she said at the time.

But when questioned on her continuous surgeries, she said, “To be honest, I think I’ve calmed it down, because if you look back at pictures of me, in the ‘Dwight (Yorke) days’, I looked like a duck.

“I’d had my lips done, I looked horrific then, but now I don’t look like that. I am older and there’s nothing you can do about skin.”

She is still having procedures, most recently to her breasts.

Nicole Kidman addressed her cosmetic surgery rumours in 2013, helping to open up the conversation.

The Being The Ricardos actor told Italian newspaper La Repubblica at the time, "No surgery for me. I did try Botox, unfortunately, but I got out of it and now I can finally move my face again."

She described the cosmetic treatment as an "unfortunate move" but, as said at the time, is back to being "completely natural".

She added, "I wear sunscreen, I don't smoke and I take care of myself, and I am proud to say that."
