CBB star Bradley Riches leaves best pals stunned as he makes surprise bridesmaid announcement at pizza party
Bradley Riches of Celebrity Big Brother fame hosted a special afternoon party on Sunday, reflecting his fun-loving personality perfectly, with some of his very best female friends. They thought they were learning how to make Italian pizza with some pals - but unbeknownst to them, Bradley had got them all together to ask them to be his bridesmaids for his upcoming wedding to Scott Johnston, set for 2026.
Bradley, who got engaged to acting agent Scott in May after Scott made a romantic proposal, complete with rose petals, on their hotel balcony in Sorrento, Italy, invited his girlfriends along for an afternoon of pizza-making and bubbles at the Italian restaurant, Due Forni in Beaconsfield.
But there was a twist, as the excited groom-to-be exclusively tells OK!: “I hosted this really fun, memorable pizza-making party with renowned pizza chef Michele Rutigliano to ask my best friends to be my bridesmaids. The surprise was that, while they expected to find pizza ingredients in a box, it actually contained a heartfelt note from me, asking them to be my bridesmaids, along with a picture of us together - there were tears!”

The 22-year-old actor, who starred in hit Netflix coming-of-age series Heartstoppers, had his nearest and dearest - including mum Karen, dad Julian and sister Amber, along for the ride as he surprised his BFFs Emily Barker, Jenna Craig, Megan Rice, Lauren Cockreil, Elle Sayer, Hannah Golding and Mia Turner with their special roles on his and Scott’s big day.
And there were more surprises, as he reveals: “I also asked my sister to be my maid of honour and to top it all off, my dad discovered he will be stepping into the role of my best man, making the day even more special and meaningful.”
As for his upcoming nuptials, Bradley - who melted hearts on this year’s Celebrity Big Brother, with his lively puppy dog energy and frank admissions about his struggles to navigate the world as a young gay man with autism – told us: “I can’t wait to marry Scott. He’s my person. We’re giving ourselves enough time to make sure it’s all perfect, so it’s happening in 2026 - and hopefully all my friends from CBB and the cast of Heartstoppers will be there on our special day. It’s going to be perfect!”
Bradley’s fiance, Scott, tells OK!: “We just feel so excited to get going with the whole wedding planning season. It was so hard trying to keep this a secret to the people who are closest in my life, but it paid off. They all accepted straight away thankfully. I wish I had taken my pictures and videos of the event but I think everybody was so in the moment”
“We have looked at so many venues and we think we have found the perfect one. We really want our wedding to be intimate but also a great night of celebrating with our family and friends. I have crazy big plans for it.
"I think love is love and when you know, you know. We are young but we’ve been together for four years and I know I wouldn’t want to spend my life with anybody other than Bradley by my side. So why not just do it?“
He adds: “We had our proposal which took me months to plan, to make sure it was perfect. Trying to find the right location, then a place for it to happen, the schedule of how it will all run."
Scott reveals: “I wouldn’t have been able to do without my besties Holly and Emily because they really were the guinea pigs - setting everything up whilst I was sipping Prosecco on the seafront pretending nothing was happening! It was a moment I will cherish forever and the best thing was, whilst it was happening it was just us two with a gorgeous view of Sorrento with a camera propped up to capture it.”
