Let's all thank Cat Deeley, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for adding some feel-good nostalgia into an otherwise terrible year, shall we? The trio has just teased another look at the upcoming SM:TV Live reunion, and now we can't wait for the one-off special to air later this year.

The first picture shows the chums posing for the reunion ~which was filmed earlier this year~ in a studio, while the second snap is a throwback of the presenters rocking some excellent 90s hairstyles. Alongside the shots, they wrote, "Excited?" Yes, yes we are.

"How to save 2020 in one Instagram post," one follower commented, while another said, "So excited! This was my Saturday morning childhood."

With the show first airing in 1998, the reunion was originally supposed to take place in 2018, but the plans were postponed. However, in early September, Ant and Dec confirmed a special had been filmed and would air later in 2020.

Sharing the news on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 Breakfast show, Dec revealed: "There’s definitely an SM:TV reunion. We’ve filmed a show looking back at the story of SM:TV and how it came about. That’s going to be on later in the year. We’ve recorded that already."

They even hinted at the possibility of filming a one-off episode of the show, with Dec adding, "We said we should just do another one time. Just do it. But do it 9.25 on a Saturday morning for three hours, get bands on. I don’t know, let’s see. We’d love to do it but I don’t know if we can."

Meanwhile, Cat admitted they were in tears filming the special as they reminisced about the things they got up to on set between 1998 and 2001. "We went back to the studio where we did it. They rebuilt the set. We all cried," the presenter said on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X. "I walked in and they were doing their interview and Dec was crying and I was like 'ok you’re crying!' and then at the end of my interview I was like, 'waaah!'."

She went on, "We all have a bit of a cry, we take the mickey out of each other, it’s very, very, very cute."

It's going to be TV gold.
