The legendary director died on Thursday, aged 78. He had emphysema. Naomi, 56, starred in the 2002 movie Mulholland Drive, which was directed by Lynch. "My heart is broken. My Buddy Dave... The world will not be the same without him," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her kissing the director's cheek. "His creative mentorship was truly powerful. He put me on the map. The world I'd been trying to break into for ten plus years, flunking auditions left and right..."
