Despite not appearing in the second season of Netflix's Tiger King (which returned to screens today, yay) Carole Baskin is still making headlines. Last week, the 60-year-old animal rights activist revealed there's a secret support group for traumatised celebrities, and this week she opened up about what she thinks happened to her ex-husband Don Lewis, who went missing in 1997.

To recap, much of the first season of the hit show centred around the feud between Joe Exotic (aka the Tiger King himself) and Baskin. Throughout the first series, Exotic accused Baskin of murdering her former husband and feeding his body to the cats at her Big Cat Rescue centre. Exotic's allegations turned much of the public against Baskin, who was soon flooded with abuse on social media and in the press.

Despite being officially declared dead in 2002, Lewis' body has never been found and the case investigating his whereabouts is still very much active. It's no wonder then, that Baskin is still inundated with questions by fans of the show regarding his mysterious disappearance. This week however, the Dancing with the Stars contestant decided she'd answer some of those questions in a Q&A on Reddit.

"Don loved to fly and was looking to buy ultralights and experimental planes. I believe Don crashed a small experimental plane or ultralight into the Gulf for a number of reasons," she said of her theory about Lewis' disappearance. "He wasn't licensed to fly, yet did all the time. He couldn't file a flight plan and had to take off from closed airports to evade detection. He had to fly under 200 feet to stay off the radar, which means he would typically fly out over the Gulf because the air is smoother there, whereas over land there are up and down drafts that will crash you at that height."

She continued: "Since phone records indicated he was planning to go to Texas, and his van was found at a small private airstrip and we have never found Don or wreckage, I think this was the most likely scenario."

Plenty of Baskin's fans responded to the Reddit thread, praising her for speaking out about her theory. "Your balls are huge for this Ask Me Anything" said one fan, "Like, massive. Well done."

"Cats and balls kind of go together," she responded.
