"As a meteorologist, I'm fascinated by the huge range of natural phenomena that weather systems can throw up," she tells Country Living. "I'm determined to see this wonder of the natural world and will be delighted if you're there to see it with me."

Experience an expedition cruise with on-board experts

Norway's Arctic waters are well-known for Aurora sightings and destinations such as Tromso and Lofoten are famed for their views of the lights. In fact, Hurtigruten, one of the most trusted Northern Lights holiday companies which is operating this tour, is so confident that you'll witness the dancing lights in the sky that the trip comes with a guarantee.

This means that if you don't see the Northern Lights during this cruise, you'll get to go on another six- or seven-day trip for free!

While you'll want to spend every evening out on the deck looking out for the displays, there'll be plenty of time to soak up the culture with Viking feasts and put your feet up, too.

The wonderful MS Nordlys, which you will be travelling boasts a modern, Arctic-themed interior, with many luxuries on board - from hot tubs to three different restaurants.

There's an observation lounge, a bakery, ice cream bar and sauna, plus an on-board Expedition Team who are experienced in adventures. They include experts in arctic survival, photography and marine biology to help you make the most of the destinations you visit.
