Awards season is delivering the escapism we all need right now as we near the end of another looong lockdown. And unlike the virtual Golden Globes and Critics' Choice Awards, last night's Grammys happened IRL, buzzing!

The celebrities did not disappoint for their first in-the-flesh awards ceremony, drafting in their glam squads to ensure they wore beauty looks that lit up the red carpet.

When it came to hair, there was a clear winner for us: Cardi B, queen of the hair switch-ups. The singer had our FULL attention, not only with her WAP performance (I mean, did you see it?), but also her WAP-performance hair. In the last few months alone Cardi has wowed us with a doll-face perm, founding fathers ponytails and numerous bombshell blow-dries, but she went all out for the Grammys stage, rocking a polished pink pixie cut with a deep side part and flipped fringe.

We know she likes to experiment with wigs rather than commit to one look, and her go-to wig stylist Mia Jackson (AKA Tokyo Stylez) took to Instagram to reveal the process behind the look.

She started by prepping the pre-cut wig - treating it with a bond-protecting colour optimizer, pre-lightening it, and then colouring it with a rose gold dye. She then used Joico styling products and the Dyson Supersonic Hairdryer to style the wig with enough hold to stay put for Cardi and Megan Thee Stallion's energetic WAP performance.

The pink pixie of dreams certainly got her fans' approval. "This look is everything," commented one, while another exclaimed: "she looks so good love this look😍"

Unforgettable hair for an unforgettable performance. We expect nothing less, Cardi.
