I'm going to go ahead and say it: at this point, Cardi B deserves a knighthood for contributions to the beauty community while on lockdown.

Not only has she spend the past few months documenting her bikini waxes, Veet hair removals, lip hair removals, bleachings and piercings, and given us the most incredible hair inspo (you need to see her Louis Vuitton hair tatts) - she's also dished up some supreme hair advice.

The queen of detangling has taken to IG once again, this time to outline her entire routine for achieving super smooth strands, and we're living for it.

It goes without saying that Cardi's natural hair looks gorgeous with or without smoothing masks and heat styling - but if you're keen to get some reflection on your strands, here's the process broken down.

First, she detangles her hair while it's dry, explaining that this will make the secondary detangling process easier when it comes to conditioner.

Next she her reminds followers of the recipe for her DIY mask - you can read about that in more depth here, but here's the recipe she opted for in the video:

1 avocado
2 eggs
A dollop of mayonnaise
Black castor oil (or whatever oil works well on your hair)

She blends these together, before applying it all over her hair while it's dry, and advises leaving it on as long as you can (actual quote: "let that marinate like chicken").

Cardi wraps her masked hair in a covering, which accelerates the absorption process.

After rinsing out the mask, she then takes rice water and spritzes it all over her lengths. If you're not acquainted with the use of rice water on hair, it's an age-old hair-replenishing remedy.

Its invention is often credited to the women of the Yao province in China, who ferment the water left from cooking rice and use it to nourish their long hair as part of a wider cultural practice. Cardi, however, leaves her rice water for 24 outside in the sun.

Next, she recommends wrapping the damp hair in rollers before blow-drying, explaining that she feels rollers protect her strands from damage caused by direct hairdryer heat - and the results are "100% better".

She then sits underneath the single boujiest standing hairdryer I've ever seen, before removing the rollers and blow-drying the hair straight.

The result? Absolutely gorgeous, shiny hair. Someone give this woman a Nobel prize already.
