Charitable T-shirt is created to thank Captain Tom Moore: “some superhero don’t wear capes”

Today is Captain Tom Moore’s 100th birthday, but that’s not the only achievement the former British Army office is celebrating.
Over the past few weeks, the war veteran has raised over £30 million for the NHS by walking laps of his garden to help with the current coronavirus pandemic.
On his birthday, he was made an honorary colonel of the Army Foundation College in Harrogate, the appointment of which had been approved by the Queen.
The British public have also continued to show Tom their gratitude, with over 100,000 birthday cards having been sent to the veteran for his birthday.
Numerous independent sellers are also helping Tom’s fundraising efforts by creating items that give profits to his NHS charitable fund.
Artist, Rebecca Osborne, teamed up with T-shirt retailer, KPN Merchandise, to create a collection called Capeless Heroes, where 100% of all profits go to Tom's JustGiving fund for the NHS.
The design, which features an illustration of Tom, is adorned with the words: “some superhero don’t wear capes… they wear medals”.
The T-shirt is available to buy for £19 - and there’s also a children’s option for £13.50.

Earlier this month, an Etsy seller created a charitable banner featuring the quote: “tomorrow will be a good day”.
Tom, who originally said the phrase whilst on Good Morning Britain, recently signed off a touching letter with the same phrase to thank the nation for their support.
The banner costs £18 and all profits will be sent to Tom’s fund page.
