Caprice Bourret has spoken about her new Dancing On Ice partner, Oscar Peters, for the first time since switching skaters after "parting ways" from Hamish Gaman.

A fan reached out to Bourret, 48, on Twitter to ask about the identity of her new skating partner, with the model singing his praises in her response.

She answered: "Oscar Peters he is amazing."

The mother-of-two also assured another fan she would "absolutely" be back for the upcoming episode of the programme on Sunday 26 February and told another so was "so excited".

The news of her split from skater Gaman was revealed on Sunday night's instalment of the show.

“Unfortunately, Caprice and Hamish have parted ways and will not be skating this week,” divulged presenter Holly Willoughby.

“As you saw in our opening number, Hamish remains one of the members of our professional team and we hope to have Caprice back on the ice next week.”

Bourret later liked tweets from fans who expressed their concern.

However, the reason behind their uncoupling has not yet been revealed by any party.

The programme confirmed on Monday that Bourret would be returning to the ice as a spokesperson shared on Monday: "We’re pleased to say that Caprice is back on the ice today in training and very much working towards returning to the show on Sunday night."

Two celebrities have been voted off the competition so far, with Lucrezia Millarini being the latest to go after Trisha Goddard became the first evictee.

Michael Barrymore never even made it onto the live shows, as an injury saw him forced to pull out of the contest before it began.
