Revealed: The cause of 20-year-old Disney star's death

The cause of Disney star Cameron Boyce’s death has been revealed.

Boyce, 20, was confirmed dead by his family to a US media outlet due to an “ongoing medical condition".

His family told ABC News on Saturday evening (local time), the actor “passed away in his sleep due to a seizure”.

TMZ claims the network has been told Boyce’s ongoing medical condition was epilepsy.

He had reportedly been undergoing treatment for it.

Boyce has been acting since he was about 10 years old.

Among those paying tribute to Boyce following his death included fans and comedian Adam Sandler.

Sandler and Boyce starred in both Grown Ups films together.

The comedian played the father of Boyce’s character.

In an Instagram post, Sandler wrote he “loved that kid” who was “too sweet” and “too funny”.

Boyce’s family said “the world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights”.

“But his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him,” they said.
