Mangiapane agrees to one-year deal with Flames
On Sunday, the Calgary Flames announced they have come to terms on a new contract with forward Andrew Mangiapane.
Both parties agreed to a one-year, two-way deal worth $715,000.
Mangiapane appeared in all five postseason games for the Flames last spring, adding one goal in the playoffs. The 23-year-old, who recorded eight goals and 13 points in 44 games, emerged later in the season for Calgary. In his last 10 regular-season games, the former Barrie Colt notched 6 points.
The 2015 sixth-round pick is already in Calgary, according to Kristen Anderson of the Calgary Sun. It’s also been reported that he will start skating with the team on Tuesday.
If he can build off his strong finish to the 2018-19 season, Mangiapane should be locked into the club’s bottom-6 for the upcoming year.
