Christmas is over. It’s gone. It’s time to move on. I’m sorry.
But the good news is, Easter is just around the corner. Well, if the corner was located approximately three months away…
But, hey, seeing as Easter is all about chocolate eggs, it’s never too early to get egg-cited, right?
Last week we got all riled up about the Terry’s Chocolate Orange mini eggs, and now we’re all about this Easter-themed trifle.
Cadbury’s Creme Egg trifle is back for 2020. The Layers Of Joy sweet treat is a “layered sharing dessert with Cadbury milk chocolate dessert, chocolate mousse, chocolate chip cookie and fondant dessert with a creamy topping.”
Tbh mate, you had me at “layered” but sort-of lost me at “sharing”, because I’ll be eating that whole thing to myself (always eat trifle responsibly).
The dessert for
one sharing with friends and family is currently on sale at selected supermarkets, and it will set you back £3.50.
A number of shoppers have shared their joy at finding the pudding, including Kev's Snack Reviews and New Foods UK, who shared a photo with the caption: “Limited Edition @cadburyuk Layers of Joy is back!! Spotted at @asda.”
If trifle’s not your go-to sweet of choice, how about these Creme Egg cupcakes? Kev’s Snack Reviews found them in Iceland. They’re described as, “Chocolate flavoured sponge with a fondant filling, topped with a vanilla flavour frosting, finished with a fondant icing drizzle and milk chocolate decorations.”
Our attention has also been drawn to the Creme Eggs ice cream cones available in supermarkets right now.
What a time to be a Creme Egg fanatic!
