Cadbury Is Branching Out Into Pastry With These New Chocolate Eclairs

·2-min read

Look. We’ve managed nearly two weeks of eating healthily after Christmas, but we’ve had enough now. We just want to stuff our faces with chocolate and cream cakes. In fact, more specifically… chocolate cream cakes.

Speaking of which, Cadbury has made all our cream cake dreams come true with its latest product launch: Chocolate Eclairs.

Now, before you start yelling that Cadbury Eclairs have been around for years, these eclairs are different to the ones that get left at the bottom of a tub of Miniature Heroes. These are the choux pastry eclairs.

Spotted in supermarkets by a number of excited Instagrammers, the Cadbury Eclairs are described as being, “Choux pastry eclairs filled with cream and topped with Dairy Milk chocolate topping decorated with a Cadbury’s Flake.”

As if it wasn’t exciting enough that these bad boys are smothered with Cadbury Dairy Milk, there’s also a damn Flake on the top. The dream.

You can pick up a two-pack of Cadbury Chocolate Eclairs for £2 from Asda now.

Speaking of new chocolate-themed launches, McVitie’s new Blissful biscuits look outrageously tasty.

McVitie's Blissfuls have an almost tart or pie-like structure, with a golden biscuit crust holding smooth Belgian milk chocolate cream and topped with a quite fancy biscuit lid shaped with an arty McV logo.

Launching in both a hazelnut and caramel option, another factor that sets them apart is that they come in a resealable pouch rather than a traditional packet. We're not sure if this will be enough to stop us polishing them all off in one go, but it's a step in the right direction?

They're available in Sainsbury's now in packs of 16 and will be rolling out in all major retailers soon. So, keep your eyes out for them in the biscuit aisle.
