Last week, the weather was absolutely perfect for ice cream. This week… not so much.
But we’re not going to let a spot of drizzle and Baltic temperatures put us off our favourite frozen treat. Especially with an offer like this one.
Industrial-sized tubs of Ben & Jerry’s have been spotted in B&M stores, and they are ridiculously cheap. One of these 4.5 litre tubs of ice cream will only set you back £3.50. That’s wayyyyyyyy less than the regular tubs of Ben & Jerry’s, which are a measly 465ml.
The tubs have been spotted by shoppers in B&M shops as well as Herons Food stores.
No special trips advised for this as it’s obviously selling fast. Get this Ben&Jerry’s Moo-Phoria Chocolate Cookie Dough/Baked Alaska 4.5L Tub up at B&M and HERON FOODS for £3.50🍧 pic.twitter.com/JNSbTi65gy— Bagaweeklybargain (@DonnaBrough3) June 26, 2020
The reason for the abundance of giant tubs of ice cream is, sadly, that these tubs are usually bought by restaurants, cinemas and cafes where ice cream is sold. But with all these places having to temporarily close their doors, shops have taken the tubs of ice cream to sell to customers instead.
Word of advice… these tubs are MASSIVE, so check you have space in your freezer before you make a purchase. You don’t want to be stuck eating 4.5 litres of ice cream on your kitchen floor to avoid it going to waste. Or do you? No judgement…
In the mood for more Ben & Jerry’s based news? Good…
Ben & Jerry’s has launched a new ice cream, and we know all too well that everything those guys touch turns to delicious, creamy ice cream. But in this case, it might be a love it or hate it type situation.
Made in partnership with Netflix cookery show Nailed It, where contestants try and fail to make impressive baked goods, Chip Happens is hitting UK supermarkets shelves later this month. The ice cream legends describe it as “an ice cream as perfectly imperfect as the culinary masterpieces of Nailed It!”
Available to buy in Asda, a tub of Chip Happens will set you back £4.50. But you better move fast, as this is a limited-edition flavour, so it won’t be around forever.
