You can buy Costa Coffees for just 32p all through August

From Cosmopolitan

If you’re one of those people who loves their coffee so much, you’ve got a mug that says, “Don’t talk to me until I’ve had my coffee”, then this news will make you very happy.

All through August, you’ll be able to purchase a Costa coffee for just 32p. You probably can’t even buy a Freddo bar for that anymore!

As part of the government’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, Costa will be dropping its prices. The scheme sees a number of food and drink places offering 50% off on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays as an incentive to get people to support the UK’s economy at this difficult time.

This all means that, if you take your own cup to Costa (which means you get 25p off), you’ll be able to buy a filter coffee, which would usually cost you £1, for a minuscule 32p!

It’s not just filter coffee you can get the discount on – Costa is dropping the price of its posher coffees as well, plus its food items. You can get your hands on a croissant for just 59p throughout August.

Managing Director of Costa Coffee UK&I, Neil Lake, said:

"We're delighted to have signed up to the Government's 'Eat Out to Help Out' Scheme, offering customers the opportunity to sit in store, relax and enjoy a perfectly hand-crafted cup of coffee and their favourite Costa Coffee food, for less.

"With over 1,700 Costa Coffee stores offering an eat-in area, no minimum spend required and a new summer range available in stores, customers will be spoilt for choice over what to enjoy.

"The safety of our team members and customers remains our number one priority and our eat-in areas have been designed in line with Government guidelines, with enhanced safety and operating measures in place to help ensure we keep everyone safe."

So that’s a coffee and a croissant for just 91p. It’s not often you’ll get change from a £1 coin when you order breakfast, now is it?
