Networking: from business to fashion

Over the last week, I’ve been a busy bee. For me, September 2016 starts 2 months of shows and events.

On September 16th we started off the show season with The Business Networking Show. If you’re in business you NEED to be at this yearly event. It’s the UK’s largest business networking event and it’s getting bigger and better every year. I’ve been involved with working with the organisers from day dot. They just celebrated their 3rd successful year and next year is already looking to be brilliant too!

Here’s a quick outline of what you can expect at this event

As part of the team, I get to see TBNS grow from start to finish and it’s always an emotional journey watching everyone’s hard work end in people coming together, to not only do business but build relationships and help strengthen the UK economy. It really is a spectacular show.

September 19th was my first time at London Fashion Week. I was invited to attend along with other Yahoo Freelancers. I’ve never really thought much about LFW but I do love a new adventure and challenge so jumped at the chance. I was not to be disappointed. I attended the JWL show and then The Sharon Wauchob show.

JWL SS 2017 collection was, in my opinion, great. It involved a loose tailored garments with bright splashes of colours and eye catching angles. If this collection is anything to go by the trousers with flats is going to be BIG next year! WOOHOO! Finally, I might be deemed fashionable.

Sharon Wauchob SS 2017 collection was the complete opposite, but also a firm favourite of mine. This collection had an, in my opinion, oriental theme with a splash of “Classy Silk PJs”.

I’m really hoping this collections makes a hit on the high street as i’m all about the looking good and feeling comfy. Who wouldn’t want clothes like that in their wardrobe? And I’m pleased to announce that we found another collection that is endorsing either a flat or small heeled shoe!

From the two shows i’ve seen, next year is set to be beautiful. We’ll either be wearing structured, bright, bold coloured clothes or neutral, metallic loose fitting garments with an oriental feel. Perfect. Did I mention flat shoes?

Fear not fans of heels… We have something for you too! #LoveShoes

I’m really looking forward to more up and coming events in my diary but i’ll not ruin the surprise just yet. Stay tuned for more work and style related posts!
