Burger King’s Fan-Favorite Cheesy Sandwiches Are Back for a Limited Time

For fast food lovers, it’s easy to argue that the holiday season is indeed the most wonderful time of the year. Or, if you’re a Burger King devotee, you might say it’s the most Whopper-ful time. After all, the global brand kicked off the season by unveiling its first-ever holiday Advent Calendar, packed with more than $100 worth of swag for just $19.99.

We’re already burning our flame-grill-scented candles while we munch on tangy new pickle fries. And Royal Perks members are profiting even more than usual, thanks to daily deals that include everything from no-cost delivery to free meals. But lovers of one fan-favorite item are about to have even more to celebrate.

The Return of Burger King's BK Melts

According to Burger King, it's Melts Season. You heard that right. BK Melts, which debuted in 2022 and returned for the holiday season in 2023, will officially come back in 2024. Beginning on Dec. 19, the cheesy sandwiches served on two slices of toasted bread will grace Burger Kings nationwide for just $4.99.

Though there are no new Melts this year, three favorites are returning: The Classic Melt, which contains two Whopper Jr. patties sandwiched in between American cheese, caramelized onions, and Stacker Sauce. The Bacon Melt, which is essentially the Classic Melt with added bacon. And finally, there's the Shroom n' Swiss, which features two Whopper Jr. patties in between Swiss cheese, roasted mushrooms, and Royal Sauce.

In addition to the returning Melts, it looks like the BK Churro Fries, which debuted earlier this year, are also making a comeback by popular demand. They will be available all day beginning Dec. 19 for a limited time or until supplies last.

We’ll stop the world and melt with these beefy meals any day, but something about biting into a stack of melty cheese and crispy cinnamon-sugar sticks during the festive season feels so right.
