Exciting news for fans of Caitlin Moran's Sunday Times bestseller How To Build A Girl, a film based on the coming-of-age book is coming to a screen near you very soon.
We've been patiently waiting for the film to hit the big screen since it was announced Caitlin's semi-autobiographical novel would be turned into a movie, and now we finally have a release date.
It had been planned the anticipated film would have a theatre release, but given the current coronavirus pandemic, with cinemas in the UK now closed, Lionsgate choose to release the film via Amazon Prime instead.
How To Build A Girl will be available to stream on Amazon Prime from 24 July 2020.

What is it How To Build A Girl about?
Based on the bestselling novel of the same name by Caitlin Moran, How To Build A Girl is set in 1993 and tells the story of bright and funny 16-year-old Johanna Morrigan who is desperate to get out of her hometown, Wolverhampton.
Johanna navigates everything that comes with being a teenage girl in the 90s. Eventually we follow her to London where she reinvents herself as Dolly Wilde, a loud and fierce rock critic. Johanna feels she has finally discovered how to build a girl - but is it really the girl she wanted to build?

How To Build A Girl stars Golden Globe nominee Beanie Feldstein alongside Alfie Allen, Paddy Considine, Chris O’Dowd, Emma Thompson, Sarah Solemani, Laurie Kynaston, Joanna Scanlan, Arinzé Kene, Frank Dillane, Tadhg Murphy and Ziggy Heath.
The film is based on the novel and written by Caitlin herself, while directed by Coky Giedroyć.
