Brooke Shields twins with daughter Rowan, 18, on the red carpet: 'I'm seeing double'
Brooke Shields was all smiles when she hit the red carpet with her 18-year-old daughter, Rowan Henchy, earlier this week.
The pair posed up a storm at The Hollywood Reporter's Most Powerful People in Media Party in Manhattan. In a post shared to Instagram, the 56-year-old mother wrapped her arm around her grinning daughter as the duo rocked bold power suits.
The "Blue Lagoon" actress complemented her mini-me's neon green ensemble with an ivory pant-suit by New York designer Ryan Roche. She accessorized with a white clutch, gold jewellery and her signature oversized specs. She styled her hair in long, glossy waves, and completed her look with a touch of pink lipstick.
The teenager also sported a pink lip, but opted for dramatic black eyeliner and emerald stud earrings for the glamorous evening.
"Oh what a night," Shields captioned the photo, along with heart and kissing emojis.
Fans were quick to comment on the post, calling the mother-daughter duo "just like twins" and "a stunning pair."
"Amazing mother, amazing daughter. You guys look so much alike!" commented a fan. "Nothing better than spending time with loved ones."
"Are you guys for real? You're just like twins! I'm seeing double!" wrote another. "You two are beautiful and are making wonderful memories."
"What a stunning pair and I hope you two had a wonderful night on the town! It's nice to see events finally happening again after the pandemic," said another.
"My favourites! I love the matching suits, you ladies sure look like powerful women!" added another fan.
In April, Shields spoke to People about all things motherhood, and revealed how difficult it was when Rowan left for university last fall.
"I'm not ever going to get used to her being gone," she said of her 18-year-old, who recently wrapped up her first year at Wake Forest University. "She's going to be married with her own children, and I'm still not going to be used to her being gone."
"She's really living her life, she's enjoying college, she's just really blossoming and growing. I listen to the way they talk to each other and their friends and the things they're discussing, and you think, wow, she's really her own person and I've done my best in my job and I'm going to try to get out of her way," she added. "Even though I want her to live with me for the rest of her life."
Shields also shares a younger daughter, Grier, 16, with screenwriter and producer husband Christopher Henchy.
