Britney Spears Shares Rare Photo Of Herself And Her Two Teenage Sons
Britney Spears has shared a sweet photo of herself with her two teenaged sons, Sean and Jayden, and discussed her respect for their privacy.
The 39-year-old pop star took to Instagram on Monday to share an adorable photo of herself standing next to her teenagers, aged 15 and and 14, respectively, who she co-parents with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
In the photo, Spears can be seen with her arms wrapped around her sons' torsos, with all three wearing face masks. While the singer wears her mask below her chin, her sons use theirs to obscure their faces, thus helping to maintain their privacy.
Spears wrote in the photo's caption: 'It’s so crazy how time flies .... My boys are so big now !!!! I know … I know … it’s very hard for any mama especially a mama with boys seeing them grow up so fast !!!! Talk about enough to make you go to your knees ... GEEZ !!!! [sic]'
The star continued, noting that has she hefrained from sharing photos of her sons in recent years out of respect for their privacy, and to allow them to forge personalities outside of the spotlight.
'They’re at the age where they want to express their own identities and I totally get it,' Spears explained.
The Stronger singer, whose conservatorship battle with father Jamie Spears and life has been the subject of a recent Framing Britney Spears documentary, has been central to numerous conversations in recent weeks about the way in which society and the media has treated young female stars.
Since the documentary was released last month, the singer has received an apology from her former boyfriend Justin Timberlake for failing to 'speak up for what was right' following their split. Timberlake and Spears were in a relationship between 1998 and 2002.
The Cry Me A River singer took to Instagram on February 12 to issue a public apology to Spears, as well as Janet Jackson, writing, in part: ‘I specifically want to apologise to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson both individually, because I care for and respect these women and I know I failed.'
