Britney Spears: 'Sarah Jessica Parker inspired my pink hair makeover'

Britney Spears' new pink hair was inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker in Hocus Pocus.

The pop star took to Instagram last week to reveal she has added candyfloss streaks to her blonde locks, and on Monday, she explained the iconic 1993 fantasy comedy, in which Sarah Jessica plays a witch, was the motivation for her makeover.

"Oh and not only did I copy @reesewitherspoon the other day with my throwback looks, but now I'm copying @sarahjessicaparker's hair tease from Hocus Pocus," she wrote on her Instagram account followed by witch and broomstick emoticons, as she posed in a leopard print catsuit for a series of photos to show off her new hair.

"I was freaking 11 when that movie came out and I swear she had it right before Sex And The City ... it's all about the hair and the heels, people!!!" she added, before claiming her mother wouldn't let her wear bold make-up when she was younger.

"I wanted to wear red lipstick after seeing that movie but my mom wouldn't let me so I did lipgloss instead!!! S**t ... I should have worn red lipstick," she mused.

Revealing she now feels like "Bella Thorne's twin" with her pastel locks, Britney seems to be enjoying her new look.

"No this is not a hair commercial... it's the first time I've colored all of my hair a bright color so f**k it ... I did as many hair flips that I could!!!! Pink is hot if I do say so myself (sic)," the 39-year-old singer wrote, adding in a series of flame and bow emoticons.
