Britney Spears has shared an update on her health, revealing that she has now been able to find the 'right' medication, following the end of her conservatorship battle.

The ‘Swimming in the Stars’ singer, who turns 40 tomorrow, wrote on Instagram that she had been waiting to live life on her own terms, and she highlighted that the time is 'finally here'.

Spears wrote: 'Lighting my candles sure is a joy folks,' before continuing with: 'And you might be surprised cause my prayers are pretty damn powerful especially when you’re on the right medication just a month ago !!!! Damn I can actually pray… it’s good to be here and be present!!!! [sic].'

Despite not sharing the details of her exact medication, the singer has also said that she's been embracing a healthy regime to benefit her mind and body.

Her post-conservatorship lifestyle now also includes fasting to stay in shape.

In addition to news regarding her health, Spears also recently shared a video of her dancing to Justin Timberlake's song Blue Ocean Floor, where she wrote a caption that read: 'I like challenges they bring value!!!! [sic].'

In the same caption, she expressed that she has been anticipating the new year, giving us even more reason to believe that it's onwards and upwards for the pop star.

Britney Spears’ 13-year-long conservatorship has finally come to an end.

On Friday, November 12 Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Brenda Penny ruled in favour of the singer’s freedom after a lengthy and arduous battle.

Supporters of the #Free Britney Movement have long campaigned for the singer's autonomy from her conservatorship and were moved by Spears' statement, read out in an LA court in June, in which she detailed the impact the legal agreement has had on her personal life, from preventing her from remarrying to having more children.

However, for the first time the ‘Baby One More Time’ singer has addressed fans directly and revealed the basic privileges she looks forward to now that the conservatorship is over, such as being able to have the keys to her car, see cash and buy candles ‘for the first time’.

In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Spears told her followers: 'I’ve been under conservatorship for 13 years. It’s a really long time to be in a situation you don’t want to be in. I’m just grateful, honestly, for each day and to be able to the keys to my car and to be independent.

'I’m a very strong woman, so I can only imagine what the system has done to those people. So hopefully my little story, hopefully my story will make an impact and make some changes in the corrupt system,' she said.

She continued, explaining that she doesn't want to be seen as a victim. 'I’ve lived with victims my whole life,' she said. 'That’s why I got out of my house and worked for 20 years and worked my ass off. I’m here to be an advocate for people with real disabilities and real illnesses. I’m a very strong woman.'

Addressing her #Free Britney Movement campaigners, she noted: 'My voice was muted and threatened for so long, and I wasn’t able to speak up or say anything, and because of you guys and awareness of kind of knowing what was going on and delivering that news to the public for so long, you gave it awareness to all of them.

'Because of you, I honestly think you guys saved my life in a way. 100%'

In the caption to the Twitter video Spears also teased the possibility of an interview with Oprah Winfrey, who is yet to comment on the rumours of a sit-down filmed discussion.

'I might as well do a hint of my thoughts here before I go and set things square on Oprah,' she wrote in the post's caption, before tagging the media mogul.

Following the court hearing last week, Spears shared a video of the celebrations outside the courthouse on social media with the caption: ‘I’m gonna cry the rest of the day, [sic]’

In September Spears announced her engagement to her longterm boyfriend Sam Asghari following a five-year romance.

While it's currently unknown when the pair will schedule their wedding, it's safe to say that with the singer's conservatorship officially terminated we expect to hear the sound of wedding bells very soon.
