Pillars, stone tiles, alcoves, a garden that qualifies for the term 'grounds' and just about as many essential tenets of eclectic, fabulous British style as you could fit into one dwelling - fashion designer Alice Temperley's Somerset home is countryside perfection.

Here, she invites ELLE to join her for a private tour, showing us her creative space, piled high with gloriously patterned (and sequinned) fabrics. A Union Jack upholstered chair bathed in sunlight sits at an antique desk in her domed library, accompanied by a glamorous print of celebrity pal Sophie Dahl in one of her previous Autumn collections, by fashion photographer Adam Whitehead. We also get a glimpse inside a covetable walk-in wardrobe.

The pièce de résistance, if you ask us though, has got to be the 'disco bath' as she delightfully labels it - a freestanding tub, entirely covered in mirror fragments that Temperley herself designed and decorated. At the same time, one of the most decadent and most alluring chill out spaces we've seen.
