Bridgerton's Simone Ashley debuts punky new micro fringe
It's been the year of the bob, but it's also been the year of the fringe. Celebrities from Daisy Edgar Jones to Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Lawrence to Sarah Michelle Gellar, have all debuted on-trend 'bangs' and now, Bridgerton star Simone Ashley has joined the gang.
The actor stole attention on the Fashion Awards 2024 red carpet with her fresh twist on Audrey Hepburn's iconic up-do. She emerged with a cool new micro fringe that her hair stylist, Hyungsun Ju, had cut choppily into differing lengths and slicked down to show off.
For the event, presented by Pandora at London's Royal Albert Hall, Simone wore a custom Prada dress with a structured mini skirt and long, flowing train that was tied into a bow at the bust. Its pale pink colour nodded to one of the key spring/summer 2025 fashion trends, and she accessorised with mirror-shine silver heels and diamond drop earrings.
Simone's fringe reminded us of Cara Delevingne's latest punky hairstyle, which also echoed Hepburn. The model-turned-actor stepped out for the LACMA Art and Film Gala last month with a fringe of only a few inches, which cleverly emphasised both her beautiful bone structure and signature heavy eyebrows.
If Simone and Cara's fringes feel too directional, we suggest asking for longer, lower maintenance 'curtain bangs' at your next salon appointment. The A-list has been loving them too, and they won't need trimming as often.
