We think it's safe to say that in 2021, Bridgerton has firmly stolen Normal People's crown as our go-to lockdown box-set for steamy sex scenes.

Hardly an episode goes by without a passionate romp set in a beautiful stately home being flashed up on the screen— but as Regé-Jean Page (aka the devilishly handsome Duke of Hastings) has revealed not everyone enjoyed the constant on-screen nudity.

During a recent appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Page revealed that he had a family group chat to warn relatives when particularly steamy episodes were coming up involving the Duke, usually involving graphic images of his naked 'peach.'

'We've got a family WhatsApp group,' he told Norton. 'So there's a couple flashing red light emojis and there's the odd peach emoji.'

However, according to Page, not all family members received said warnings in time, meaning sternly worded messages started appearing in his Instagram DMs from shocked relatives, who — despite repeatedly leaving the room to make 'tactical cups of tea' during raunchy scenes — were horrified to discover his character and Daphne Bridgerton (played by Phoebe Dynevor) were 'still going' when they returned.

'A couple of cousins missed the memo,' he laughed. 'So they're watching the show and I got a very stern message in my Instagram DMs just going, "There really needs to be a cousin warning".'

Thankfully, as the rest of us are not related to either Dynevor or Page, we can continue to enjoy the steamy scenes in peace — at least until season 2 begins filming and we have a whole load of new content to lust over...
