Bridgerton fans aren't "going to be ready" for season 2, if what showrunner Chris Van Dusen says is it to be believed.
The second outing for the hit Netflix series is hugely anticipated, and will this time focus events on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his romantic pursuits.
Van Dusen has now confirmed that they are currently editing the first two episodes, telling Deadline: "I don't think people are going to be ready. It's everything people love so much about the first season but more."
He went on to reveal that the chemistry between Bailey's character and Simone Ashley's Kate Sharma is strong, admitting they "are just magnetic".
The showrunner also addressed the departure of Regé-Jean Page as Simon Basset, admitting that "he's our duke and he will always be our duke".
"I know he's actually about to continue charming the world in really amazing ways and I hope I'm fortunate enough to work with him again," he added.
It comes after Van Dusen recently shared a tease for the new season by posting an image of the script cover, confirming the first episode will be called 'Capital R Rake'.
Bridgerton season 1 is now available to watch on Netflix. Season 2 is in production. Secret Cinema with Fever Present Bridgerton opens on November 10 in a secret outer London location. To purchase tickets, head here.
