Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are reuniting on screen for the first time in 19 years.
The pair last worked alongside each other when Pitt made a guest appearance as Will Colbert on the hit TV series Friends in 2001, in which Aniston played Rachel Green.
At the time, they were only a year into their marriage. Four years later in 2005 they divorced, after Pitt met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith.
The pair were photographed together for the first time since their separation at the SAG Awards in January this year, when they ran into each other backstage following their respective award wins. Social media users went wild over the pictures, with Aniston later calling the reaction "hysterical". She added: "But what else are they going to talk about?"
Now, Pitt and Aniston will work together once more, with a virtual live table read of the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, alongside Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Morgan Freeman and Sean Penn - to name but a few.
The live event intends to raise money for CORE Response, Penn’s charity that works to serve communities that have been impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
Penn expressed his excitement ahead of the event: “I’m always game for a giggle. So to gather remotely for a night of laughs with so many talented folks while providing CORE with much-needed resources to continue our vital work - then consider us fully onboard to play!”
You can watch it live on the organisation’s Facebook and TikTok channels at 5pm PST on 21 August.
