It feels like a whole lifetime ago now, but you might remember the chaos that ensued during 2020 award season when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were photographed together backstage at the SAG Awards.
So imagine how fans will react when the actors reunite on screen for the first time in 19 years, for a virtual live table read of the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High later this year. EXCITING.
The last time Brad, 56, and Jen, 51, were seen on screen together was in 2001, a year into their marriage, when Brad made a guest appearance as Will Colbert on Friends alongside Jen's Rachel Green. Fast forward to early-2005, and the pair were divorced, after Brad famously met Angelina Jolie on the set of Mr and Mrs. Smith.
But anyway, back to the here and now. Jen An and Brad will be taking part in a virtual live table read of the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, along with the likes of Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Shia LaBeouf, Morgan Freeman, Henry Golding, Dane Cook and Sean Penn.
The live event will raise money for Penn's charity CORE Response, and will stream on their Facebook and TikTok channels at 5pm PST on 21st August (1am BST, Saturday 22nd August). Not ideal if you're based in the UK, but worth it for the Jen-Brad reunion, right?
Speaking of the charity event, Sean said:
"On behalf of our dedicated team at CORE, I’m so appreciative of the support Dane [Cook, who's appearing in the read and will also help present the reading] has given and continues to give to our work. I'm always game for a giggle. So to gather remotely for a night of laughs with so many talented folks while providing CORE with much-needed resources to continue our vital work — then consider us fully onboard to play!"
