One of the greatest banes of life is ripping a brand new pair of tights. But what do we honestly expect when we buy the cheapest pair possible?

2017 is already starting to look up with the arrival of new brand, Heist.

Over the course of a year, they worked with 67 different women to design ‘intelligent tights’ that promise to be comfortable, stylish and most importantly, never rip.

There are four features that allow the tights to work with the body. First, Heist’s tights have a special sportswear waistband that adapts to your waist. You can opt for a low hip-hugging style or a higher one that hits your waistline.

Heist also produces the ‘softest, stretchiest, sleekest yarn’ meaning you won’t be itching to take them off after a hard day’s work. As for the gusset? There isn’t one. That unflattering seam is nowhere to be seen thanks to Heist’s 3D printing technique.

The last (and best part) of these ultra-modern tights? It has to be the hidden toe seam. As this is the part most likely to ladder, Heist have changed the position of the seam to go underneath your foot, rather than directly on the toes. Yes, that also means you can wear open-toed shoes and tights with much more style than ever before.

Priced at around £20 a pair, they’re a lot pricier than your usual hosiery. But with all this technology, they’re surely worth it.

See you at the shopping cart.
