Bond Fire Smoke Darkens Sky in Tustin, California

Smoke from the Bond Fire darkened the sky near Tustin, California, as the blaze grew to about 3,650 acres on Thursday, December 3, fire officials said.

A number of evacuation orders and road closures were announced as the fire grew “rapidly,” according to the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA). The blaze began with a house fire on Silverado Canyon Road in Orange County late on Wednesday night, local media reported.

Approximately 500 firefighters were battling the wildfire on Thursday morning, the OCFA said.
