Whether it's Patricia Arquette railing against sexism, to the revelations about how differently Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams were paid, compared to co-star Bradley Cooper in American Hustle, we've recently been made aware of the still very prevalent gender divide in Hollywood.
But apart from these very isolated examples, made public by very famous women, we haven't had a great deal of exposure to the nitty gritty of what goes on behind the scenes for women in the film business.
Brilliantly, but to rather shocking effect, a new anonymous blog has been set up, entitled 'Sh*t People Say To Women Directors & Other Women In Film' to allow people to record their experiences.
And it has shed an interesting light on one of the most famous industries in the world.

They're all pretty self-explanatory, but some of them truly beggar belief.
So it turns out, we really do need more women like Patricia Arquette and Charlize Theron to speak out about the gender discrimination that is still going on at all levels of the film industry and, indeed, almost every other industry too.
