EXCLUSIVE Victoria's Secret Angel Elsa Hosk: 'Of Course I'm A Feminist!'

Sophie Tighe

When it comes to lingerie modeling you might not think there’s much room for the dreaded F word: feminism.

Try telling that to Victoria’s Secret Angel Elsa Hosk.

The 26-year-old Swedish model didn’t flinch when we asked her the big question during our exclusive chat ahead of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in London: Do you consider yourself a feminist?

“Of course! I believe in equal rights for women, I want women to be just as powerful as men.”

Former basketball player Elsa channels this passionate spirit into her performance when she graces the iconic runway, giving us an insight into what walking that world-famous walk feels like.

“It makes me feel powerful and strong. In that moment on the runway, you feel like you own the world, like you’re a rock star. All the hard work is worth it for that 20 seconds you’re up there.”

As the show is in London this year for the first time ever, we had to ask Elsa a few quick fire questions about the capital and more importantly British men.

Turns out she prefers Brit boys to Americans but unlike pretty much every woman in the world, she has yet to fall under the spell of the one and only Benedict Cumberbatch. In fact, she doesn’t even know who he is.

Don’t worry Elsa, you can borrow our Sherlock DVD. But we'll need it back. Like, soon.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will be shown on 4Music on Weds 10th Dec at 9pm.

…Actually, sorry Elsa you’ll have to buy your own DVD. We’d miss him too much.
