Blake Lively may be one of the most famous faces in Hollywood but the actress refuses to cave in to one of the biggest A-list perks on offer - a personal stylist.

From last year's Met Gala dress to countless promo wardrobes, the 30-year-old is solely responsible for her highly-coveted sense of style.

But with the pressure of delivering press-worthy looks, why doesn't the mother-of-two seek assistance?

"Probably because I have control issues and a big ego - that’s probably the honest answer," Lively revealed to WWD.

She continued: "I love design and I love fashion and it’s a way to be creative. In my job I get to be creative, but it’s over a period of time and so many other people are involved, whereas this is a beginning, middle and end, and I get to be creative and there’s an end date in the near future. It’s the same reason why I like doing my friends’ hair and makeup or cooking - you get to be creative and finish it. Whereas with my job you do it and then two years later it’s finished."

And it turns out, the actress is already busy working on her next sartorial project.

Famed for having delivered swoon-worthy looks at the star-studded Met Gala for almost a decade, it comes as no surprise to learn that the 30-year-old is in talks with big-name designers ahead of the annual ceremony.

"I just sent Lorraine Schwartz and Christian Louboutin my dress, and said, ‘Ok let’s do something special,’" the actress revealed. "They’re making something custom for it. So it’s kind of nice, because I have a bunch of artists around me who I have direct relationships with. It’s sort of a group effort with that. I rely on people who do that for a living rather than outsourcing it to someone else."

This year's theme is 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination' and the exhibition will focus on the 'dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art'.

According to reports, the actress' custom-made dress has already taken over 600 hours to make and is not even close to completion.

But if it's anything like last year's divine Atelier Versace look then it's certainly justifiable.
