Blake Lively may’ve only given birth to her second child four months ago, but that didn’t stop the former ‘Gossip Girl’ star from stepping out in a semi-sheer, short frock and winning the best dressed accolade at last night’s People’s Choice Awards (in our eyes, anyway).
The red carpet event, held in LA, is one of the biggest awards shows in Hollywood’s calendar – so it stood to reason that the blonde 29-year-old would pull out all the stops with her look.
Flaunting her long legs in a metallic, fringe mini dress from Elie Saab’s spring 2017 ready-to-wear range, the mum-of-two added to her look with jewellery from her go-to designer, Lorraine Schwartz, a Roger Vivier clutch and Christian Louboutin strappy heels.
The dress boasted sheer panels that also highlighted her toned tum – a look that most women who recently gave birth would run screaming from.
“Thank you for making me look like I slept more than 2 hours last night #breastfeedingmama,” Lively captioned a selfie of herself, thanking makeup artist Kristofer Buckle and hairstylist Rod Ortega for getting her red carpet ready.
Fortunately, dragging herself out despite her exhaustion was worth it as she scooped the award for Favourite Dramatic Movie Actress for her role in The Shallows – beating Meryl Streep.
