Blake Lively and Taylor Swift share more than their supermodel height and blonde locks in common, if their fashion is anything to go by.

Fans will know all too well that the former Gossip Girl star co-wrote and directed the singer's recent music video 'I Bet You Think About Me' from her new album Red (Taylor’s Version), which was officially released on Monday, November 15.

Following the release, Lively posted a photo on Instagram of herself wearing a large red heart-shaped ring which was also worn by Swift in the video. The ring in question is an 8-carat ruby heart design surrounded by classic round brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 2.5 carats.

The 34-year-old actress commissioned the ring from Retrouvaí (derived from the French word ‘Retrouvailles’, meaning to reconnect with something from one’s past). The piece forms part of the 11-year-old label’s heirloom collection, and is certainly a showstopper.

Lively captioned the photo: ‘My hand modeling career is really taking off. [sic]’

In the social media post Lively also wears jewellery from the likes of Brent Neale, Ofira and Lorraine Schwartz, who designed Kourtney Kardashian’s engagement ring.

Lively styles the ring with an embellished dress, which Swift also wears in the teaser clip for the wedding-themed music video. Anyone else sensing a theme here? The gown is complete with ruffled trims that offset the design's svelte silhouette.

Ahead of the full release of the music video, Swift teased a clip with the caption: ‘I finally got to work with the brilliant, brave, & wickedly funny @blakelively on her directorial debut. Join us as we raise a toast, and a little hell. [sic]’

Directing Swift's music video is not Lively's only career highlight to come of late. The actor recently launched her own range of non-alcoholic mixers, Betty Buzz, which have been ‘crafted for your favourite spirits but tasty enough to fly solo’, according to the brand's Instagram account.

Lively and Swift have been friends for several years after meeting in 2015. Early on in their friendship Lively posted an Instagram photo from a L'Oréal's beauty campaign, which referenced the musician's 'Bad Blood' music video. The Shallows actor later wished the Grammy award-winning singer a belated birthday with the caption: 'People Who I Not Only Really Love, But Also Really LIKE, That Were Born Yesterday: Part 1 of 2. @taylorswift you know how I feel. [sic]’

In the years since the pair have visited Australia together (during the tour of Taylor’s 1989 album), shared several sweet snaps on social media of each other, and Swift even featured the names of Lively and Ryan Reynolds' daughters (James, Ines and Betty) on her hit single 'Betty'.

Lively also recently supported her friend during her performance of her single 'All Too Well', another song from Red (Taylor's Version), on Saturday Night Live and was spotted wearing the aforementioned heart-shaped ring to the filming of the episode by an eagle-eyed TikTok user.

'Women supporting women' seems to be Lively and Swift's friendship motto, and we couldn't love it more.
