Blake Lively looks like a ‘50s pin-up in a high-waisted red bikini

There has been no shortage of swimwear inspo this summer thanks to all our favourite celebrities making the most of bikini szn since practically April. And apart from Nicole Scherzinger modeling a white cut-out one piece, we can't help but notice one thing in common between the rest of the A-List's swimwear styles.

From Kim Kardashian channeling Princess Leia in a gold micro 'kini, Dua Lipa rocking an underboob-baring string design and Heidi Klum's animal print two-piece, to Eva Longoria's black cut-out number, Salma Hayek's go-to yellow fave and Gigi Hadid wearing a checkerboard square-neck style to do some gardening (natch), all of the styles are *very* tiny.

But in amongst the itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny string bikinis, Blake Lively has donned a retro red high-waisted bikini – AKA the perfect swimwear for those of us wanting bikini bottoms that lean more towards Bridget Jones' giant knickers than a G-string.

As part of her latest ad campaign for her non-alcohol drinks brand, Betty Buzz, Blake took to Instagram to share three separate posts for each different flavoured beverage. Repping the same red bikini throughout, the design consisted of simple red high-waisted bottoms worn with a matching underwired top.

With her curly hair pulled into two pigtails, Blake added a coloured visor to coordinate with each flavour: red for grapefruit, yellow for Meyer lemon and green for lemon lime.

Alongside her successful acting career, the mother of four and wife of Ryan Reynolds launched her drinks brand in 2021. All of her latest social media posts have centered on the brand, with Blake herself starring in the stylised and often humorous photos.

It's not the first time she's repped a childhood hairstyle either, having previously pulled her hair into a '90s side ponytail to work a lemonade stand to promote Betty Booze, the follow-on alcoholic line of products she launched earlier this year.

Blake's followers were loving the latest posts, taking to the comments section to write:

There's no doubt the bikini's design paired with Blake's hairstyle and the matching red lipstick and mani gave maximum vintage '50s pin-up kween vibes. We think Gigi Hadid said it best with her comment, "Hotty mommyyyyyy".

In typical Blake fashion, she made sure to poke fun at herself. Sharing one of the images to her Instagram Story, she wrote over the top, "this isn't how you hang by the pool? ...weird".

Now all we need is Ryan Reynolds to chime in with the trolling comments he and his wife are known for trading.
