The bizarre thing Stacey Dooley will spend her Strictly Come Dancing money on
Stacey Dooley had danced her way to the final of Strictly Come Dancing and to celebrate her huge achievement, she'll be spending her pay in a rather unusual way.
Speaking to Stylist magazine, the 31-year-old admitted she's actually quite lazy and doesn't like cooking for herself or doing all the washing up. Because of this, Stacey is planning to spend her Strictly fee on a dishwasher, mainly because of her love for roast dinners and sushi, that she doesn't attempt to make because of the washing up.
'I can't make any of those things. And I don't care,' she said. 'Maybe if I had a dishwasher it would be different, but when I cook I know I have to wash all the bowls and plates and I can't be bothered.'
She then joked: 'Maybe I'll treat myself with my Strictly Come Dancing money to a dishwasher.'
Stacey also spoke about her three-month stint on dance competition, and gushed about how much she loves it: 'I thought it would be fun and I'd be in the UK for a bit so I'd be at home more, I was being practical.
'But as soon as you get there, I know it sounds really cheesy and painfully predictable, but it is the most incredible experience. It's hard work – 10, 12 hours a day dancing – but it's so worthwhile.'
Stacey and her partner Kevin Clifton will be dancing in the Strictly final this Saturday night, alongside fellow finalists Joe Sugg, Faye Tozer and Ashley Roberts.
The loveable journalist will perform three dances, the foxtrot to Hi Ho Silver Lining by Jeff Beck, their Showdance to Land of A Thousand Dances by Wilson Pickett and a third secret dance, which is said to be their favourite. We can't wait!
