Billie Eilish Makes Her Surprise TV Debut In Beyoncé-Inspired Series ‘Swarm’
At the tender age of 21, Billie Eilish already has an impressive seven Grammys, three Brits, one Academy Award and countless hit songs under her belt – but never one to rest on her laurels, the singer-songwriter is now also adding 'actor' to her ever-expanding list of talents.
Eilish has just surprised her vast fan base by making her acting debut in upcoming TV thriller series Swarm, which premieres on Amazon Prime today (March 17).
It's the latest project from Donald Glover, that tells the story of super-fan Dre (played by Dominique Fishback) who goes on a murderous rampage over global music sensation Ni’Jah – who is inspired by Beyoncé. The series also stars Chloe Bailey as Dre's sister, alongside Paris Jackson, Rory Culkin and Damson Idris.
A teaser clip for the show posted by Eilish on Instagram shows the blonde-haired singer playing what seems to be a hypnotist. The creepy interaction shows Dre telling Eilish's character that she sees 'milk spilled on the carpet', that is red in colour. Eilish responds 'did you hurt someone?' with a scary smile on her face. 'Yes,' answers Dre, to which Eilish grins and replies 'Very good.'
Per Distractify, Eilish's character is a cult leader called Eva, who appears in episode four of the series.
Eilish was also spotted earlier this week attending the Swarm premiere in Los Angeles, wearing an oversized black-and-white suit ensemble. Here's hoping this is just the first of many acting gigs to come for the multi-talented star.
Swarm is available to stream on Prime Video now.
