A Billie Eilish fan was left disappointed this week when he learned that the singer had donated a jacket he gave her during a meet and greet to charity.

Fortunately, he wasn’t down about it for long.

Michigan-based Donnie Gloede learned that the Bad Guy hitmaker had parted ways with the brightly-coloured coat he gifted her when Twitter user @arrrrrleth took to social media to share that their relative had bought it in a shop on the West Coast.

“So I was in LA, thrift shopping with my cousin and we decided to check out this new thrift shop instead of going to the same ones we always go to,” they explained. “My cousin found a jacket and decided to buy it. Inside of it was a note.”

They then shared a photo of the sweet hand-written note, which read: “Stay warm, Billie! [Love] Donnie,” and signed off with Gloede’s Twitter and Instagram handle.

“I found the guys Instagram and there’s a pic of him giving the jacket to Billie,” Arleth continued. “He gave.. this jacket… TO BILLIE EILISH.”

Gloede responded to the tweet, saying: “O that’s me!!! @billieeilish I’m sad to see the jacket never kept you warm.”

Feeling bad, Arleth tagged Eilish and begged her to give Gloede concert tickets to “make it up to him” before reassuring him that the jacket is keeping its new owner warm instead.

Later, Gloede took to Instagram to share a news report on “Jacket Gate” and confirm that he has no ill-feeling towards the musician.

“I need you all to know that I’m not pressed and I love you @billieeilish,” he wrote. “Imagine how massive her closets would have to be if she kept every single thing every fan gave her!”
