At just 19 years old, Billie Eilish has already blown us away with her award-winning music, her advocacy of body confidence and mental health, and, of course, her signature style. Previously we've been used to admiring Billie in a baggy Chanel or Gucci tracksuit, with jet black hair and bright green roots. However, for her British Vogue cover, The Bad Guys singer swapped her usual alternative style for what can only be described as a masterclass in old-school glamour.

Billie's iconic green roots have been replaced with bouffant, blonde curls. She wears a custom-made Gucci corset, paired with Agent Provocateur bra and underwear. Billie posted the cover shot on her Instagram, reaching one million likes in just six minutes, which is faster than any other post in the social media platform's history.

She captioned the post, "@britishvogue cover 🥰🥰🥰 thank you to @edward_enninful, @denagia, @craigmcdeanstudio, @jilldemling and the british vogue team for respecting my vision and making this come to life."

The phenomenal cover was shot by photographer Craig McDean, who has also previously worked with Kate Moss, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.

After casually breaking the Instagram record, Billie then posted another image from the shoot. This time, showing her new tattoo, which many fans had dubbed 'the secret tattoo', after Billie told Vanity Fair in 20202 that, "you won't ever see it." The black ink on her hip was visible through her custom made Burberry corset, which was paired with a Burberry trench coat and stockings, giving off a real 1940s pin-up vibe.

In the interview, Billie explained that she was embracing a "classic, old-timey pin-up" look, admitting that she'd,"literally never done anything in this realm at all.”

The new look accompanies Billie's latest single "Your Power," which challenges the way underage girls are exploited in the industry. She explained that her body “was the initial reason for (her) depression when I was younger," adding, "Don't make me not a role model because you're turned on by me."

"Suddenly you're a hypocrite if you want to show your skin... Let's turn it around and be empowered in that. Showing your body and showing your skin – or not – should not take any respect away from you."

Amen to that.
