Big Brother legend Chanelle Hayes was a hit with viewers and catapulted into fame after taking part in the 2007, and successfully continued her career into fame.

However, 17 years later, the 36-year-old has now quit fame and decided to retrain as a nurse. The former reality star is already thriving in her new career, as she has told fans that she’s secured her first job for after she graduates.

Posting a Q&A box on Instagram, one fan asked the mum-of-two what type of nursing she was hoping to do after graduating. “I already have my job lined up!! Can’t wait!!” she excitedly responded.

"I will be hospital based,” the star added, although she won’t be revealing the location in which she’ll be working.

“But I keep my work location private because it's not really about me, it's about the patients and their wellbeing,” she continued. Training hasn’t come easy to the star however, as she told one follower: "It's reeeeeeaaaally tough but you're already doing the hours and have personal care experience so that's a great advantage.”

It’s been a busy time for the mum, who recently celebrated her hen do in Manchester, her ‘favourite city in the UK’.

It was only right the former Big Brother star had a Spice Girls themed hen do, after instantly being compared to Posh Spice as she entered the house in 2007. She’s set to marry fiancé Dan Bingham, who she started dating in 2021, although they keep their relationship under wraps from the public.

While in the Big Brother house, the star, who was just 19-years old at the time, had an onscreen relationship with fellow housemate Ziggy Lichman. Their relationship did continue outside of the famous house, although it wasn’t meant to be, and the pair called it quits six months later.

Despite all the positives going on in her life currently, the star has never held back from transparency on social media, from her weight struggles, to her mental health. Earlier this year, she took to her page to ‘apologise’ to fans, for not being around as much.

"Sorry I’ve not really been around lately…[crying emoji]." She continued: "April is Stress Awareness Month. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how much love you’re surrounded with, stress, burnout and loneliness can find you,” she wrote.

“When you’re happy, you enjoy the music but when you’re sad, you understand the lyrics” - Frank Ocean. #stress #depression #anxiety #mentalhealth #stressawarenessmonth #burnout #selfcare ,” the star concluded, before asking fans if they felt safe to talk about their own mental health struggles.

The post was flooded with reactions from supportive fans who called the mum of two an ‘inspiration’.
