Beyoncé's crystal-embellished martini clutch bag is too fabulous for words
Beyoncé is ringing in 40 in style. Earlier this week, the singer and current Bazaar cover girl took to Instagram to showcase a look she wore while exploring Capri, Italy, with her husband, Jay-Z, to celebrate her birthday.
For the pair's Italian outing, Beyoncé wore a feather-trimmed white button-down shirt by Valentino, high-rise dark-indigo flared jeans, and metallic silver platform sandals by Aquazzura.
The star styled her hair in lush, voluminous waves and accessorised her look with retro white sunglasses and a bold bright-red lip. But it was her kitsch, embellished clutch that really captured our attention: Priced at a cool £4,189, the Judith Leiber piece is shaped like a martini glass and covered in crystals.
This trip marks a very special milestone for the singer, who in our October issue, opened up about turning 40 and what that means for her personally and professionally.
"My wish is for my 40s to be fun and full of freedom," she said. "I want to feel the same freedom I feel on stage every day of my life. I want to explore aspects of myself I haven't had time to discover and to enjoy my husband and my children. I want to travel without working. I want this next decade to be about celebration, joy, and giving and receiving love. I want to give all the love I have to the people who love me back."
She continued: "I've done so much in 40 years that I just want to enjoy my life. It’s hard going against the grain, but being a small part of some of the overdue shifts happening in the world feels very rewarding. … You can be both elegant and a provocateur. You can be curvy and still be a fashion icon. I wish this freedom for every person."
