Freddie Mercury
Late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury - who passed away in 1991 at the age of 45 due to AIDS complications - left behind an impressive musical legacy. The ‘I Want to Break Free’ singer lived in Munich, Germany, for a period between 1979 and 1985, describing the city as a place “where I can actually walk the streets" That’s why, in 2020, the city of Munich paid tribute to the late singer by naming a street after him. Freddie Mercury Street is located in Munich’s Neuhausen district, which was chosen for being a “creative” quarter which shared the same spirit as Freddie.©BANG Showbiz - 3/10

Being part of two of the most legendary rock bands, Nirvana and Foo Fighters, certainly has its rewards. In 2009, Dave Grohl, 54, was honored by the city of Warren, Ohio - which is his hometown - with a street named after him. There are several iconic places that have been named after the late Beatles legend John Lennon, whose life was taken on December 8, 1980. Lennon was 40. 'The King of Rock and Roll' is still one of the most influential and highest earning musicians 46 years after his death in August 1977 at the age of 42.
