A bar in Bexleyheath has reopened after being completely refurbished, giving customers “a better environment to eat and drink in”.
Tanyard Lane Bar and Kitchen, based on Bexley High Street, closed for two weeks in August so that the spot could undergo a makeover.
They then held an invitation only relaunch party on Wednesday, September 13 to welcome people back to the venue.
The refurbishment involved new Herringbone flooring, a colour change throughout the bar and restaurant, new lighting, a new bar area, new outdoor furniture and then men’s toilets were also redone.
In addition to those changes, the pub has also revamped its food and drink menus, giving customers something new to try.
Managing Director of Tanyard Lane, Vin Read, said: “We are proud to have been on Bexley High Street since 2016 and have given Tanyard Lane a fresh new look to take it into the future.
“Tanyard Lane is the perfect bar setting for a date night, Friday post work drinks, birthday bottomless brunch celebrations and a brain testing quiz on a Sunday evening.”
Deputy Mayor of Bexley, Nigel Betts, attended the party and officially opened the bar.
A spokesperson for Tanyard Lane said: “We shut for two weeks in August.
“The Herringbone floor is new, Complete colour change throughout the venue, there is new lighting to add more atmosphere, a completely new bar area, new furniture throughout, refurbished men's loo with funky tiles sourced from Spain.
“There is new outside furniture and lighting, a new food and drink menu too.
“The refurbishment was for no reason other than it needed a refresh and our customers deserved a better environment to eat and drink in.”
