The best and worst airlines for long-haul travel from the UK, according to a new survey

It's January which means many of us are booking our holidays to escape the chilly temperatures at home.

If you're heading to a far-flung destination, then you're in luck because Which? has conveniently produced a list of the best and worst performing airlines for long-haul travel from the UK.

Each year the consumer group conducts a survey of airlines based on customer satisfaction. It recorded 12,459 flying experiences from 7,901 of its members and produced a ranking which takes into account measures such as legroom, seat comfort, punctuality, food & drink, in-flight entertainment, customer service and value for money.

Ryanair was name the worst short-haul airline serving UK airports for the sixth year in a row, followed by Thomas Cook Airlines, Wizz Air and Vueling Airlines. Meanwhile the highest scores for airlines making short-haul trips were earned by Aurigny (81%), Swiss Airlines (80%) and Jet2 (75%).
