Disney+ Day, Remembrance Day and 'Top Gear': The best things to watch on TV this weekend, 12-14 November

The weekend's TV kicks off with Disney+ Day, celebrating the streaming service's best content.

Friday sees a typically starry line-up for BBC One's Graham Norton Show, while on Saturday we're back in the ballroom for the latest live Strictly show.

The Royal British Legion's Festival of Remembrance is covered on BBC One on Saturday, and Sunday sees the return of Top Gear and Dr Alex's documentary Our Young Mental Health Crisis.

Sunday on ITV includes the final episode of thriller Angela Black, starring Joanne Froggatt.

Streaming service Disney+ celebrates its best content with a series of debuts and shorts that offers something for all ages.

Particular highlights to look out for include Home Sweet Home Alone, the newest instalment in the Home Alone franchise, Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and Frozen shorts series Olaf Presents.

Tonight's chat show's biggest guest is Lady Gaga, who always gives a good interview when she joins Norton.

Also appearing are Will Smith, Josh Gad and Nadiya Hussain, with Rod Stewart dropping by to perform his new single.

Saturday

Tonight, the couples are dancing for a place in next Saturday's musicals week, always a highlight in the Strictly calendar.

Tilly Ramsay will be fighting her way back from last week's dance off, while Rose Ayling-Ellis hopes to repeat her perfect score of two weeks ago.

Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance 2021 - BBC One - 9pm

Poppies have been tied to the formal gates of the recreation ground playing fields in Chobham, Surrey. The ground was originally created as a war memorial following the First World War on meadowland purchased by money raised through a public appeal and as a further memorial after the Second World War, the formal gates and supporting wall were built and 32 chestnut trees were planted. People across the UK observed a two minute silence at 11 o'clock to remember the war dead. Picture date: Thursday November 11, 2021.

Remembrance weekend is marked by The Royal British Legion's event attended by the Royal Family.

It includes performances from Alfie Boe, Gregory Porter, Jack Savoretti and Alexandra Burke as well as various military bands and choirs.

Sunday

Top Gear - BBC One - 8pm

The driving show returns with Freddie Flintoff, Chris Harris and Paddy McGuinness as hosts once again.

In the series opener, they'll take on a trio of F1 drivers at the British Grand Prix and pay tribute to Eddie Kidd OBE.

Former Love Island contestant, A&E doctor and passionate mental health campaigner Dr Alex George fronts this look at the issues facing young people since the pandemic.

He investigates some of the mental health problems that young people are facing and finds out about the charitable projects that are helping them.

It's a particularly emotional subject for Dr Alex, who tragically lost his brother to suicide in 2020.

Angela Black - ITV - 9pm

The tense and twisty thriller concludes tonight starring Joanne Froggatt as the title character, an abused woman being framed by her husband.

As Angela tries to find proof of what happened to her, she desperately tries to secure her safety and that of her children once and for all.
