The Best-Dressed Men At The Met Gala 2023
It's the morning after the first Monday of May, and that means one thing: the internet is rife with Met Gala news. Last night saw fashion's finest assemble to The Metropolitan Museum of Art for the charity fundraiser, and as per (or should we say purrrr), the looks were a mixed bag of classic and crazy.
For this year's theme – based off the exhibition name "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" – guests had the late fashion designer to look to for inspiration. There were those who dressed as him, donning black sunglasses, a lot of pearls and some gloves and tuxes. There was some appropriate vintage pieces from Lagerfield-era Chanel and Chloe and outfits that had you thinking how they were relevant at all. And coming through with social media catnip were Jared Leto and Dojo Cat (nominative determinism at its finest), who paid homage to Karl's beloved pet through weird Choupette costumes.
But beyond all the feline fantasy, there are plenty traditional and tasteful, alongside modern (if a bit abstract) interpretations of the theme. Explore the looks below.
